Leo and Diane Dillon were a married team of illustrators who worked together for more than fifty years. They are the only illustrators to win the Caldecott Medal two years in a row, for Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears and Ashanti to Zulu.
Leo and Diane Dillon wrote or illustrated 2 books on our shelf that won or were recognized by the Caldecott Medal, between 1976 and 1977. Both won. Most are for ages 6 to 8 and ages 3 to 5.
